Privacy Policy

Primary Privacy Guarantee

We never upload, store, inspect, or process your files on any remote server.

MassFileConverter operates entirely client-side using in-browser WebAssembly. All video encoding, PDF merging, audio extraction, and format conversions execute solely in your local browser memory (RAM). When you close the browser tab, that temporary memory is immediately purged by your device operating system.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike conventional file conversion websites, our infrastructure contains zero file ingest endpoints or remote storage buckets. Specifically:

  • No User Files: Your files never travel across the internet to our servers.
  • No File Metadata: We do not log file names, dimensions, frame rates, or embedded EXIF tags.
  • No User Accounts: No passwords, email addresses, or payment credentials are required or stored.

2. How WebAssembly (WASM) Protects You

Our tools utilize FFmpeg WebAssembly and PDF-Lib compiled directly to binary bytecode. When you drop a video or PDF into MassFileConverter:

  1. The browser loads the static WASM runtime into a local background Web Worker thread.
  2. Your file is read as a binary ArrayBuffer directly from your local disk or storage.
  3. The conversion algorithms transcode the media locally on your device's processor.
  4. The resulting output file is packaged into a local Blob URL for you to download instantly.

3. Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used. If you reject them, nothing is collected. When it runs, it records general technical information such as:

  • Browser type and version (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
  • General geographic region (country or city level; your IP address is anonymized).
  • Aggregated pageview counts, referral sources, and high-level conversion button clicks.

No analytics event ever includes file content, file payloads, or personally identifiable data.

4. Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics only if you accept. It sets _ga cookies to count visits. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

5. Cookies and Advertising

Advertising is currently switched off. If we show ads in future, advertising partners may set cookies or web beacons to serve relevant advertisements, and you will be asked first. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.

6. Compliance with GDPR and CCPA

Because MassFileConverter does not collect, retain, or sell any personal data or file assets, our service inherently meets the highest standards of data minimization outlined under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
