Questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device.

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no limit on how many photos you convert.

Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?

iPhones save photos as HEIC by default because the files are about half the size. The catch is that many Windows apps and websites can't open them.

Does it keep my photo's location?

No. The converted copies don't include location or camera data.

Should I pick JPG or PNG?

JPG for almost everything, it works everywhere and the files are smaller. PNG if you want to keep every pixel and do not mind a bigger file.

Why is it slower on my phone?

Your device does the work, so a laptop will usually be quicker than a phone. Keep the tab open until it finishes.
